Introduction
The PhD Program in Development Economics and Local Systems (DELoS) is a new doctoral program launched in academic year 2020-21 by the University of Florence focusing on development economics and local development. For contents and organization, please visit the Program webpages.
The current DELoS PhD Program inherited the tradition of previous PhD programs having the same focus, such as the PhD in Development Economics and Local Systems, jointly offered by the University of Trento and Florence between 2015 and 2020, and the PhD in Economics, offered by the University of Florence between 2010 and 2014.
The PhD in Economics was established by joining the following two PhD Programs:
- Politica ed Economia dei Paesi in Via di Sviluppo (Less Developed Countries Economics and Policy), offered by the University of Florence between 1997 and 2009;
- Economia e Gestione delle Imprese e dello Sviluppo Locale (Economics and Management of Local Deevelopment and Firms), offered by the University of Florence between 1999 and 2009.
